“Dancing with Physics: Together Apart”(2024-2025)/Young Audiences
It is this grounding of my feet on the earth that allows me to move forward, that allows me to reach you. To touch you, to embrace you, to push you, to pull you, to support you, to stop you. And perhaps all these actions lead to a sense of intimacy between us, sometimes even to a kind of erosion. But I want you to hold me, because I might fall. And if you want, afterward, we can dance together. Fast, slow, powerfully, or lightly. Because it is this resistance offered by the force of friction that allows us to move as we wish. And perhaps this is a form of freedom. What do you say?
